As we always do in all our new build projects, we firstly setup a site office at the location and the whole site is secured with hoarding. Then we setup a welfare facility for our workforce. All aspects of this initial setup is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations.
The client already had planning permission in place for the new flats. Throughout the whole project we kept to all planning permission, structural calculations, client material stipulations.
The project itself compromised of a modern brick and block build construction (also known as masonry construction). We chose this construction method as it is very durable, it can withstand severe weather and temperature fluctuations. We insulated the external cavity walls with 100mm insulation, and furthermore insulated the internal partitions and ceilings with soundproof insulation. We used fireproof plasterboard and sound proof floorboards to ensure we more then met the required regulations. We like to keep our new builds as green as possible, and reduce our carbon footprint, by recycling as much waste as possible and ensuring we work with responsible suppliers and service partners.
We fully project managed and built 3 two bedroom flats and also one 3 bedroom flat to a very high standard including car parking spaces, block paving and fabricated railings. The development also required drainage connections. We installed new foul drainage connections and made provision for rainwater drainage by digging and installing soakaways. We setup all new utilities on the site such as electricity, gas and water. All car park and building signage was designed by our team and installed around the site.
The project started in February 2018 and we completed the development in December 2018 keeping in line with the clients deadlines. Our clients were very happy from start to finish and have chosen our firm to develop all their future projects.
