The client contacted the team at Westway Construction to transform the living space and add an extra bedroom and bathroom in the loft of this semi-detached property in Hounslow.
The task for our design and build experts for this project was to add options for the homeowner, thereby enhancing the value and functionality of the property.
Within just six weeks we had adapted this family home to create something stylish and contemporary for our client. Planning permission had already been granted for this project, so we proceeded with drawing up the blueprints of this stunning new living space – and arranged a parking permit for a skip to be positioned outside the home during the project.
Our solution was to adapt the home and make use of existing, unused space on the upper level of the property, while ensuring seamless access to the rest of the home throughout.
Adding spotlights, built-in cupboards, spotlights, and a Juliet balcony, the living space began to feel larger and brighter, while air conditioning freshened up the entire property.
While adapting the upper floor of the building, creating an extra en-suite bathroom and bedroom, our team used modern tin hat roof scaffolding to enter the property, and used their own on-site welfare facilities at all times. This modern scaffold system also served to completely protect the rest of the home while we worked.
Fireproof steel was also used in the build, as well as C24, high-grade timber, exceptional quality insulation, and modern fire detection systems installed throughout the property; hardwired in the loft, and wireless on the ground and first floors in all main dwelling areas. This ensured that the project complied with many aspects of modern building regulations – something we always factor into our design and build process.
Fully project managed from start to finish, this Hounslow home had an entire new dimension when we were finished, and our team were overwhelmed with the client’s response to our work.
