The team were delighted to be given the opportunity to transform this idyllic terraced house in East London into 3 flats with a Mansard Loft Conversion for our client.
The challenge for our team on this project was to convert a terraced house into three self-contained flats. Our first task was to acquire permission from the freehold property owner, after which we got straight to work on a unique design that ensured three new tenants would all have access to living space, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
As with all of our extensive property conversion and refurbishment projects, we erected tin hat scaffolding, which allowed our team access to the property at all levels and protected the home for the duration of the project. We also used our own, on-site welfare setup at all times, to minimise disruption both inside the property, and to local neighbours.
Ensuring the modern aesthetic and functionality of each new flat, we added underfloor heating, wooden flooring, and a high spec finish throughout. Also converting the roof into a mansard loft conversion, we added extra space to the flat on the upper floor of the terrace with a full redesign of the roof itself.
New parts of the structure, particularly in the redesigned roof, were built using fireproof steel and C24 timber, and each self-contained flat also had its own fire detection systems installed, plus individual control of the excellent central heating system created.
Fully project-managing the design and build from concept to completion, our client was delighted with the efficiency of our work, and the overall design and build of the new properties.
Following the completion of the work, the client was able to maximise the value of this brilliant property by letting out the new, modern flats to tenants.
